Adaptive Modules

The BlueWave Class 1 USB Dongle is aimed at product applications where a non-Bluetooth™ PC or laptop needs to connect to another Bluetooth™ device such as a BlueWAVE module.

How it works

By installing the BlueWave USB Dongle on your PC you can add Bluetooth™ wireless connectivity to your product and be compatible with the leading range of Bluetooth™ data cards, PDAs and PCs, and cellular phones without any software or hardware development. In addition, the USB dongle has been extensively tested to ensure that this is the optimum device to use alongside our other BlueWAVE products. Unlike most USB dongles on the market which only give the user a 10m range, this product provides a 100m range making it ideal for all applications.

Typical Example of BlueWAVE Terminal Application

A company manufacturing medical diagnostic equipment have a heart monitor product that connects to a PC via an RS232 cable. The company would like to remove the need for the cable and allow their product to connect to the PC using Bluetooth™. The manufacturer selects the BlueWAVE RS232 DCE Terminal module and integrates the daughter board PCB into their existing product. They also select the BlueWAVE USB Dongle and install this on the PC. The PC is now Bluetooth™ enabled. They now have a fully compliant Bluetooth™ product without any development costs within a minimal timeframe.
