Zigbit™ Development Kit

ZigBit™ Development Kit (ZDK) is a simple yet powerful tool that enables you to develop wireless sensor network solutions while speeding up time to market and keeping costs at the low end.

ZDK is comprised of the ZigBit Evaluation Kit hardware set with testing and embedded application development software on top of it.

This kit provides you with a ready-to-use toolset for custom ZigBee applications development:

  • Open source HAL to provide full programming support and integration of 3rd-party sensors selected by developer
  • Sample applications to bootstrap application development
  • Intuitive development environment from Atmel
  • Embedded programming support for client-programmed applications with direct access to ZigBee embedded software stack - eZeeNet and HAL (100% ANSI C99)
  • Convenient reference drivers and APIs for UART, I2C, ADC, and 1-wire interfaces

MeshBean Evaluation Board

MeshBean sensor board is based on the 2.4 GHz ZigBit OEM module with PCB-printed antenna. The board supports standard extension connectors and includes temperature, light sensors and other peripheral devices.

MeshBean Evaluation Board

The ZigBit module featuring ultra small size and superior rf performance enables the board’s wireless connectivity and makes it function as a node in the ZigBee network. The MeshBean board can be configured to operate as a network coordinator or a router either by DIP-switch settings or via AT-commands.

Powered by two AA batteries, the MeshBean evaluation board comes preset with 2 frequently used sensors - temperature and illumination. The board features PCB antenna, three Status LEDs, power on/off button and two programmable buttons.

eZeeNet: A Robust IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee Software Stack

MeshNetics’ eZeeNet Stack contains 802.15.4 MAC and ZigBee Network layers with a simplified programming interface. A sample application monitors temperature and illumination. Supporting Tree and Mesh network options, eZeeNet allows network management, network configuration control, addition/deletion of network nodes, channel selection, data exchange, and network-wide power management. Creating applications is as simple as customizing the eZeeNet profile.

SerialNet: Serial AT Commands for Easy Application Prototyping

  • Layered on top of eZeeNet IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee software stack

  • Easy evaluation of eZeeNet stack functionality via AT commands

WSN Monitor: Software for Sensor Networks Visualization

MeshNetics’ Wireless Sensor Network Monitor shows the network topology, sensor data and the signal quality between the nodes. The WSN Monitor automatically generates network topology diagrams as network nodes are detected and added to the system. These nodes are then regularly monitored, with any sensor data received automatically displayed in charts and tables on a PC screen. MeshNetics WSN Monitor features an XML-based framework for rapid customization of user interfaces and measured sensor parameters. A sample application demonstrates a building monitoring solution that features real-time capture and display of temperature and light levels read from remote ZigBee sensors.
